The Great Glen offers a large fishing region for Brown Trout, Sea Trout, Salmon and Pike. A fishing permit may be purchased from our boatyard. It covers the most popular areas for fishing in the Glen. One permit covers everyone fishing on board your cruisers. The fishing season runs from March through to the end of September.

Scotland is very popular for golfing. In fact there are about 500 golf courses around Scotland offering wonderful arenas for this famous sport. Most provide equipment hire, visitor facilities and catering. There are three golf courses on your cruising route through the Great Glen:

Why not enjoy some of the spectacular views over Loch Ness & the Great Glen on horse back? Some of the best pony trekking in Scotland is available in the Glen. Horses and ponies to suit novices and also those who are more experienced. It is advisable to pre-book.

The Great Glen is an ideal place for walking and cycling. Take it easy and enjoy the tranquillity on one of the forest shore walks along the cruising route.
The Great Glen Way runs for some 70 miles between Fort William and Inverness and offers superb walking for everyone, as most of it takes you along canal towpaths and forest tracks.
For those who are looking for a sporting challenge, there are some peaks to climb around the Great Glen, including Britain's highest mountain Ben Nevis near Fort William - great for hill walkers and mountain bikers; also Ben Tee near Loch Lochy and Meall Fuar-mhonaidh near Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness.
