Boat Building
All of the new vessels in the fleet are fitted out on site by our experienced team of boat builders. We've built 19 boats since 1997 with 2 more being fitted out over this winter (2009/2010).
The new Eriskay VI has arrived!!
We started building the new Eriskay class during winter 2006/2007 and have gradually added more to the fleet since then with the sixth being built over this winter. The feedback received from our customers who have hired her has been very positive which is great.
We now buy our hulls from Brooms, who are based in Norwich. The windows and stainless steel which are required for the fit out are also manufactured in the Norwich area. When everything is ready for transport, the windows and stainless are placed inside the hull and everything is transported by road up to our base in Inverness.
On Friday (2nd October 2009) the hull for the new Eriskay VI boat arrived here at Caley Cruisers by lorry and is now nearing completion in the boatbuilding workshop. She will be launched on Wednesday 3rd February!
You can also keep up to date with all developments of Caley Cruisers and view new images on our Facebook page!
The new Isle of Skye class!
Over this winter our boat builders will be woking hard to fit out the newest addition to the fleet, the Isle of Skye class!
She is being introduced to celebrate Caley Cruisers 40th Anniversary in 2010.
We will keep you updated with progress throughout the project!
